We can deliver a range of in school workshops, as one off sessions or as a series, either working towards one of our events or as a stand alone in school activity. Our team of experienced artists and qualified teachers are excellent at delivering inclusive, accessible and exciting workshops. We will do all the planning and preparation, bring all the materials and tools with us, and tidy up and take away all the mess at the end! We can also deliver high quality after school club provision in creative arts, carnival arts, circus skills and carnival dance.
As a Trinity Champion Centre for Arts Award we can deliver bespoke Arts Award Certificate projects at Discover, Explore, Bronze and Silver levels.
Working with New Carnival counts towards your school’s Arts Mark Award.
We are also very happy to work with community groups, scouts, guides, home education providers and more.

Create a full carnival costume in a day, including a headdress, neck piece / tabard, waistband/skirt and staff/flag. All materials provided. Designs and processes can be tailored to link with curriculum aims and particular learning foci.
Work as a team to create all the elements of a giant puppet backpack costume for your Mardi Gras entry, or another event. Using sustainable materials including willow and tissue, your group will learn how to scale up a design and bring a character to life!
Learn a range of dance moves and performance styles for your group to perform on the street during the Mardi Gras Parade. This can include use of junk percussion, buckets and boomwhackers, call and response, etc.
Learn how to make simple willow lanterns using willow, masking tape, wet strength tissue and latex adhesive. Various shapes and decoration methods possible. This activity is a great way to work on knowledge and understanding of 2d and 3d shapes, teamwork and communication. It also works well as a family learning activity. Lanterns can be used at our winter event - Merry and Bright - Festival of Light.

We can offer a range of print making and experimental photography workshops tailored to any age group or topic.
We can deliver 'Carnival in a day', 'Sustainable Carnival in a day', 'Simple Carnival Backpacks' and 'Lantern Leaders', plus many more creative training opportunities to your team as continuing professional development. We have capacity for up to 14 people at our workshop in Ryde, or we can come to you.
We can offer a variety of circus skills workshops suitable for all ages, ranging from basic floor based juggling skills to lyra hoop and magic!
